Vice President, Finance and Operations

Scott Melcher currently serves as Vice President of Finance and Operations, where he oversees all aspects of financial management, strategic planning, and organizational operations. In this role, he provides financial leadership to drive profitability, optimize workflows, and support sustainable growth. Scott is known for building high-performing teams, enhancing operational efficiency, and implementing financial systems that improve visibility and accountability. He brings a hands-on approach to leadership—balancing fiscal discipline with strategic foresight—to ensure long-term success and stability for the organization.

Scott’s professional experience spans more than two decades of progressive leadership across finance, accounting, and operations. He served as Chief Financial Officer at a large radiology and outpatient imaging center, with locations in Maryland and northern Virginia, where he led a $42 million organization with over 250 employees. During his tenure, Scott increased revenue from $28 million to $42 million through contract negotiations, new technology initiatives, and operational restructuring, while reducing costs by $1.5 million. He also managed multiple departments—including HR, marketing, billing, and compliance—and successfully negotiated two major merger and acquisition transactions that increased the company’s valuation from $5 million to $60 million. Prior to that, Scott was a Managing Director at a national CPA firm, where he led the National Health Care Consulting Division, advised medical practices on profitability improvement, and provided expert business valuations across multiple industries.

Scott began his career in public accounting, where he spent 17 years and became a partner. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Montana State University and passed the CPA exam during his final year of college. His broad industry experience includes healthcare, professional services, biotechnology, printing, freight forwarding and construction. Scott is widely recognized for his integrity, strategic insight, and ability to guide organizations through complex financial and operational transformations.
